2007 Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Raffle Official Rules
PROMOTION DESCRIPTION: The 2007 Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Raffle (the “Raffle”) begins on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on Friday, March 16, 2007 at 9:00 p.m. ET (the “Promotion Period”). A random drawing is scheduled to be conducted at 10 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007, at “An Emerald Evening,” the Gala Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Foundation Dinner (“An Emerald Evening”). The Grand Prize winner will be selected from among all eligible entries submitted during the Promotion Period. The name of the prize winner will be announced immediately after the name is drawn at An Emerald Evening.
PRIZE: The Grand Prize winner will win a 2007 Pontiac Solstice. The Raffle and the Prize are subject to these Official Rules.
ELIGIBILITY: This Raffle is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Only legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older are eligible to enter the Raffle. Employees and immediate family members of employees of General Motors Corporation and each of its divisions, subsidiaries, dealers, affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, as well as employees and immediate family members of employees, of the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Foundation, are not eligible to participate.
HOW TO ENTER: During the Promotion Period, to request an entry form, visit the office of the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Foundation (the “Foundation”) at 844 Mount Paran Road, N.W., Atlanta, Georgia 30327 during office hours, or visit the web site of the Foundation, at www.atlantastpatricksdayfoundation.com. The purchase price of a Raffle ticket is $100. Only 500 tickets will be sold. Payment may be made in cash or by check and through our web site using Paypal. Checks should be made payable to the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Foundation. Payments are not tax deductible contributions. A properly completed entry form and full payment are necessary for entry. If an entrant’s check is dishonored, his or her entry will be invalid unless full payment is made prior to the drawing. Notice of invalid entry will be given by mail to the address provided by the entrant on his or her entry form. The Foundation, as the administrator of the Raffle (the “Administrator”) shall have sole discretion as to the validity of an entry. Mail-In entry method: To request an entry form, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Foundation at the above address. All mail-in entries must be received at the office of the Foundation not later than Thursday, March 16, 2007 to be eligible for the Raffle.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: The winner will be selected from all eligible entries received throughout the Promotion Period at An Emerald Evening. Entrants need not be present at the time of the drawing to win. The Prize winner (if not present) will be notified by telephone or mail or email, using contact information provided on the entry form. The name of the Grand Prize winner will be made available on our web site. Only the person named as the entrant on a valid winning entry form is entitled to claim a prize, and that person may be required to provide proof of identification acceptable to the Administrator. If a potential winner is found to be ineligible, has not complied with these Official Rules or, despite Administrator’s reasonable efforts to contact the winner, does not respond within five (5) days of the first notification attempt, such potential winner will forfeit his or her prize and an alternate winner may be selected in another random drawing from among the same eligible entries as the previous drawing, excluding the forfeiting entrant’s entry.
GRAND PRIZE: A 2007 Pontiac Solstice, Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $28,539.00. The automobile will have such color, features and options as are chosen by Administrator and the manufacturer. The winner shall be responsible for the payment of any income or sales tax associated with such prize, as well as maintenance, insurance, title, registration and license costs or fees associated with, and all costs and fees for changes and upgrades to, such automobile. Winner must also execute any documents necessary to take title to such automobile. ADMINISTRATOR SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, REGARDING THE AUTOMOBILE. Delivery of the automobile shall be made as soon as practical after the drawing, but in no event more than two (2) weeks after the winner executes the Prize Claim Documents (as defined below).
ODDS: The odds of winning a prize are 1 in 500 for each entry, assuming all Raffle tickets are sold.
GENERAL PRIZE CONDITIONS: No prize substitutions will be allowed. In addition, winner shall be solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, including, but not limited to, income and sales tax and all federal and state withholding requirements.
ENTRY OWNERSHIP/RELEASE: Once submitted, entries become the sole property of Administrator and will not be returned. Acceptance of a prize constitutes winner’s permission for Administrator to use winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, biographical information, statements and address (city and state) for advertising and publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further compensation. By entering this Raffle, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Administrator, which are final and binding in all respects. Entrants agree that Administrator shall not be responsible or liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from participation in the Raffle, or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize. Administrator reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate or suspend this Raffle should non-authorized human intervention or other causes outside of Administrator’s control corrupt, undermine or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Raffle.
